Features

External power supply

Operation time of the unit can be significantly increased thanks to the use of external power supplies (for example, Pulsar EPS3/EPS5) that can be connected with a special jack. When used in frosty weather, the power supply can be stored under the clothes.

Body

The body of fiberglass reinforced plastic is able to effectively withstand impact, moisture and dust which allows the units to be used in extreme conditions. The rubber armouring ensures secure grip of the unit.

Silent microbolometer calibration

In case image quality deteriorates (lower contrast, overexposure in the field of view), the user can calibrate the microbolometer. This operation is absolutely noiseless.

Self-contained power supply

The Quantum is powered with four AA size (rechargeable) batteries. The batteries are stored in a container which is then placed in a battery compartment of the unit.

Lightweight and compact

The Quantum thermal imagers feature light weight and compact size.

Quick start-up time

The Quantum imaging scopes feature short start-up time (5 - 7 seconds) from the push of a button to full operational status. This is one of the best results in its class.

Wide range of operating temperatures

Quantum imaging scopes are effective for the use in low temperatures (-20°C) thanks to the frost-resistant OLED display employed in the unit (image remains the same as when viewing at positive environment temperature).

Brightness and contrast control

The control wheel located next to the lens allows the user to setup brightness and contrast most appropriate for specific situation.

Video output

All Quantum models are equipped with an analog video output to enable connection of external recording equipment or transmitting image to the display.

Viewing modes

Quantum has two viewing modes “White hot” and “Black hot”.

• 384x288 resolution, 30hz refresh rate
• 1x magnification
• 2x digital zoom
• Manual, automatic, and semi automatic calibration modes
• City, forest, and identification viewing modes

Great value March 23, 2016
Reviewer: Sparky 911 from Riverton, IL United States
This review is geared toward the "rental" aspect.

Was looking to purchase the Pulsar Quantum HD19A but wanted to "test drive" it first.
Communication with UNV staff via phone and email was very prompt and they were able to answer any questions I had. Item shipped on a Wednesday and arrived as promised Friday (TX to IL), and FedEx tracking was provided as standard.  They included a return label as well, so shipping back was easy.  You do have to find a FedEx Office Print&Ship store to drop off for returns.  Fortunately I have one less than 15 miles from my location.  Would definitely rent from again.

The item itself was great.  Came in a heavy duty mil-spec pelican/poly style case with 2 sets of new lithium batteries (bouns!).  Will definitely be picking up one soon.

Excellent unit by any standard October 11, 2015
Reviewer: Serial Lurker from MS
Got mine yesterday as promised. Used it for about 4 hours last night. The battery indicator never even went off full. Saw 2 bobcats, a fox, rabbits, a cat, a few field mice, and a coyote briefly.  Excellent unit by any standard made even better by a great price. Clear, crisp image. Fast refresh, easy menu system, and simple controls. Can't say enough good things about it.

The free case is excellent and everything fits just right.

Also thanks for the great service. Always better to buy from people that use the products they sell and that make an extra effort to make sure the customer is happy.

Will do business again.

Good Resolution September 28, 2015
Reviewer: Clint C. from Victoria, TX United States
I have used many flir 240 and 320 models and compared to this unit, the resolution just isn't as good. The pulsar has fantastic clarity and resolution. My hunts have improved since purchase and also it works well for doing thermal scans of work that I have done. (roofing industry) Thanks Tyler at UNV for the advice in pointing me in the right direction.

Great company to work with! September 10, 2015
Reviewer: Marcus Harold from Hilltop Lakes, TX United States
Super pre-sales information and detailed conversation to find the right solution for how we hog hunt here in Leon County Texas. The rental option with the rental fee deducted from any purchase is fantastic. When rental and finally actual device was ordered it literally arrived the next day too.
