Features

External power supply

Operation time of the unit can be significantly increased thanks to the use of external power supplies (for example, Pulsar EPS3/EPS5) that can be connected with a special jack. When used in frosty weather, the power supply can be stored under the clothes.

Body

The body of fiberglass reinforced plastic is able to effectively withstand impact, moisture and dust which allows the units to be used in extreme conditions. The rubber armouring ensures secure grip of the unit.

Silent microbolometer calibration

In case image quality deteriorates (lower contrast, overexposure in the field of view), the user can calibrate the microbolometer. This operation is absolutely noiseless.

Self-contained power supply

The Quantum is powered with four AA size (rechargeable) batteries. The batteries are stored in a container which is then placed in a battery compartment of the unit.

Quick start-up time

The Quantum imaging scopes feature short start-up time (5 - 7 seconds) from the push of a button to full operational status. This is one of the best results in its class.

Wide range of operating temperatures

Quantum imaging scopes are effective for the use in low temperatures (-20°C) thanks to the frost-resistant LCD display employed in the unit (image remains the same as when viewing at positive environment temperature).

Brightness and contrast control

The control wheel located next to the lens allows the user to setup brightness and contrast most appropriate for specific situation.

Video output

All Quantum models are equipped with an analog video output to enable connection of external recording equipment or transmitting image to the display.

Viewing modes

Quantum has two viewing modes “White hot” and “Black hot”.

• 384x288 resolution, 30hz refresh rate
• 1.1x magnification
• 2x digital zoom
• Manual, automatic, and semi automatic calibration modes
• City, forest, and identification viewing modes
• Hot white/ hot black viewing modes

Once again, UNV was great. There is not a better night vision company out there. They will answer every question you have.

Well worth the price! March 23, 2016

Great monocular, easy to use, easily spotted animals at 300+ yds. UNV made the rental and shipping simple. Regular Energizer batteries lasted about 3 hrs and the Energizer Lithium lasted 6 or more hrs of continuous use. Would definitely rent again.

Ok, not perfect February 29, 2016

You really need to read the manual. Since the unit comes on a Friday and you want to use it that night, hard to take it all in without using it first. Would be nice to get a copy online of the manual. Best way to use it is in Auto mode. Would be nice  if they offered UPS shipping also. FED EX isn't always pickup or delivery friendly. The unit is very good. Called in a coyote, saw it very clear at 400+ yds. White hot mode is the best. You could see mice in the field moving around. Rental demand is high, hard to pick 2 weeks out to rent, don't know what the weather will be.  Don't want to spend $150.00-$400.00 and have a rainy windy or snowy weekend to try to use it.

Amazing! February 9, 2016
Reviewer: William Boaz from Fort Worth, TX United States
This monocular was my first and it did not disappoint.  We used this accompanied with an ATN Thor scope and we bagged 7 foxes and 2 bobcats.  It is amazing how clear the thermal images are.    Two thumbs way up!!!!
